Before you can start your game, you have to choose your country

I suggest playing with strong reigns like England, France, Castille, Aragon, Portugal or Austria if you want to stay in Europe in the first years.

In Asia I suggest Ming, Japan, Deccan or Manchu.

Other countries are much difficult to play, but it sometimes is funnier.
